Data Retention Policy.

Tabla Inc., a Delaware corporation, d/b/a Tabla ("Tabla", "we", "us"). Effective date: October 5, 2026. Contact: legal@worktabla.com.

This policy states what the Tabla service stores and for how long. It is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service and, where executed, the Data Processing Addendum.

1. What we store

Account details: name, email address, account type, company name for professional accounts, and sign-in identifiers.
Connection tokens for each connected source, encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM).
Records synced from connected sources: messages, calendar events and contacts, going back up to two years, and Slack messages if Slack is connected.
What Tabla produces from those records: summaries, meeting briefs, prepared draft replies, priority scores, proposed to-dos and alerts, and links between records that describe the same person or company.
What users add: notes on people, corrections, drafts, feedback, and applications and the results they save.
An append-only log of actions taken in connected sources, and an audit log.
Records of AI usage (which feature, model, tokens and cost; no content) and security events.

2. What we deliberately do not store

Passwords for your accounts. Sign-in is via Google, which never gives us your password.
Anything derived from a source after that source is disconnected. Stored derived data (summaries, scores, briefs) is deleted with the records it came from.
The service writes to a connected source only to carry out an action a user directed: performed in the product, taken under a standing instruction, or created by an invitee booking against a link a user published. Each such action is recorded in the action log.

3. Retention periods

While a source is connected	Kept and refreshed. Mail you delete in your mailbox is deleted from Tabla at the next sync.
You disconnect a source	Its records, and everything derived from them, are deleted immediately. Notes you wrote stay until you delete them or your workspace.
You delete your workspace	Access ends immediately, and everything is deleted within 30 days. Export first: it is not available after deletion.
Backups	Deleted data is gone from backups within 7 days.
Logs of how the service is used (activity, security, AI usage, analytics, feedback)	Up to 24 months, then deleted.
Emails you send us	Kept in our support mailbox, which is not part of the service, and deleted on request.
Legal holds	Periods pause while the law requires us to preserve data.

4. Notes

Deletion means removal from live systems within the stated period and from backups by automatic roll-off. Service providers delete their copies under the same obligations. Questions: privacy@worktabla.com.
