What you can text#
- “what’s next” for your next meeting.
- “when am I free thursday” for open times.
- “todo call the bank” to add a to-do.
- “lunch with Kyle friday 1pm” to start an event.
- “email Kyle asking for dates to meet” to start an email.
Tabla replies in a line or two: an answer, a short confirmation, or a draft of the email or event you asked for, with a link to open it in Tabla.
Send by text (optional, coming soon). Turn it on once in Settings, with Face ID. After that, reply yes (or tap Send) to a draft to send it. It goes only to people you’ve emailed before, after a 15-second pause you can stop from the app, and a receipt lands in your inbox.
Assistant texts (optional)#
Turn them on in Settings → Text Tabla, one kind at a time:
- Reply nudges: someone’s waiting on you, with a draft ready. Reply yes to send it, if Send by text is on.
- Meeting heads-ups: a short note before a meeting starts.
- Daily brief: your day in a few lines, at a time you pick.
- Important people: a text when someone you’ve marked as important writes.
Each one can be turned off on its own. They wait for the end of your quiet hours (9pm to 8am unless you change them), and Tabla sends up to 10 a day unless you change it. You can turn summaries off. No marketing, ever. Text STOP to stop everything.
How to turn it on#
- Sign in to Tabla.
- Go to Settings → Text Tabla and enter your mobile number.
- Type in the 6-digit code we text you.
Only the number you link can text your Tabla. Texting is optional: everything here also works in the app and on the web.
What we send, and what we never send#
- We reply to your texts, plus one code when you link your number. Anything else is an assistant text you turned on.
- Replies carry times, first names, short confirmations and drafts you asked for. Assistant texts you turn on can include a short summary of mail you've received, such as who wrote and what about. Replies to your texts never include anyone else's email. Tabla never sends marketing.
- Your texts and our replies pass through mobile carriers and Amazon Web Services, and like all text messages they aren't end-to-end encrypted.
- Tabla will never ask you to text back the code we send to link your number, or to sign in by text. If a text asks you to, it isn't from us.
Stopping, and help#
- Text STOP to (855) 974-1568 at any time, or turn Text Tabla off in Settings.
- To start again, text START and link your number again in Settings.
- Text HELP to (855) 974-1568, or email support@worktabla.com.
- US only.
The fine print#
Text Tabla from this number. Tabla replies to your texts, sends one code to link this number and, if you turn them on, the assistant texts you choose (up to 10 a day unless you change it). Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
